It is good to know that the components in your watch are subject to wear and tear. The accuracy of a watch depends, among other things, on high-quality lubricants to minimise friction. These oils can dry out and should be replaced on time. It is therefore recommended that your watch be serviced at least every four years at the Staudt service centre. The watch is then disassembled, ultrasonically cleaned and provided with new lubricants. Superficial scratches on the watch case are removed and gaskets are replaced.<\/p>\n\t\t\t

Gaskets can dry out, which can compromise water resistance.
