1. Who we are

Staudt Chronometrie B.V. is a Dutch watch brand located at Kapelstraat 4, 7631 BP Ootmarsum, the Netherlands. For questions about this privacy statement or the processing of your personal data, contact us at info@staudtchronometrie.com or by phone at +31 (0)85 004 4999.

Staudt Chronometrie is the controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Which data we process

Depending on what you do on the website, we process the following data:

  • Contact form: name, email address and your message.
  • Boutique appointment: name, email address and telephone number.
  • Catalogue request: first name, last name, email address and postal address.
  • my.Staudt registration: contact details, postal address, date of birth, occupation, education, watch reference number and optional information you provide yourself.
  • Cookies and analytics: technical data such as IP address, browser type, visited pages and anonymised usage patterns. See the cookie section below.

3. Why we process data

  • To answer your question or request.
  • To send the requested catalogue by post.
  • To schedule an appointment in our boutique.
  • To register your watch in the my.Staudt programme and provide related service and warranty.
  • To secure, improve and maintain the website.
  • To comply with legal obligations, for example administration and tax obligations.

4. Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of:

  • Consent for non-functional cookies and analytics.
  • Performance of an agreement when you register a watch, request a catalogue or make an appointment.
  • Legal obligation for administration and tax filing.
  • Legitimate interest for website security and answering your contact form question.

5. How long we keep data

We do not keep your data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected:

  • Contact and boutique requests: up to 2 years after the last contact.
  • Catalogue shipment: up to 2 years after shipment.
  • my.Staudt registration: as long as your watch is registered, plus 7 years for service and warranty history.
  • Administrative data, such as invoices: 7 years in accordance with tax retention obligations.
  • Analytics data: up to 14 months, anonymised.

6. With whom we share data

We only share your data with parties that help us provide the website and our services. We have processor agreements with these parties:

  • Vercel Inc. for website hosting.
  • Resend Inc. for transactional email such as form requests.
  • Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC for anonymised visitor statistics through Google Analytics 4.
  • Cybot A/S (Cookiebot) for cookie consent management.

We never sell your data to third parties and do not use it for purposes not described in this statement.

7. Transfer outside the European Union

Vercel and Resend are based in the United States. For transfers of personal data, we use the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and, where relevant, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

8. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised access. Connections to our website are encrypted via HTTPS. Email is sent through verified domains with DKIM, SPF and DMARC.

9. Cookies

Our website uses cookies for site functionality, anonymous visitor statistics and, only after your consent, analytics. On your first visit, a cookie banner asks for your preference. You can change your preference at any time through the link at the bottom of each page.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Access to the data we hold about you.
  • Correction of incorrect data.
  • Deletion of data we are no longer allowed to keep.
  • Restriction of processing.
  • Portability of your data to another party.
  • Objection to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Withdrawal of previously given consent.

11. Complaints

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority through autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

We may amend this privacy statement from time to time. The most recent version is always available on this page, with the date of the latest update at the top. For significant changes, we will actively inform you, for example by email.
