What does Approved Used mean?
Approved Used watches are pre-owned Staudt watches that have returned to our atelier in Ootmarsum. We inspect every watch, describe its condition honestly and offer it again only when it is good enough.
Is Approved Used the same as pre-owned?
In principle yes, but with one important difference: you buy an Approved Used Staudt directly from the Dutch watch brand itself, not from an unknown seller.
Is every Approved Used watch inspected?
Yes. Each Approved Used watch is inspected in our atelier in Ootmarsum. We check the exterior condition, the movement and whether the watch can responsibly be offered again.
Is an Approved Used watch fully serviced?
Not always. Every watch is inspected and assessed. If a service is needed, we carry it out before offering the watch. The product page states clearly what has been done.
Are the photos of the actual watch?
Yes. We show photos of the specific watch. Any traces of use are made visible as clearly as possible, together with an honest condition description.
What is included?
This is listed per watch on the product page. In general it may include the original box, papers and an inspection card from our atelier.
Do I receive warranty on an Approved Used watch?
Yes. Each Approved Used watch comes with 12 months Staudt warranty. When you register the watch in my.Staudt, we extend the warranty to 24 months.
Can I register the watch in my.Staudt?
Yes. An Approved Used watch can also be registered in my.Staudt, after which the warranty is extended from 12 to 24 months and linked to your Staudt account.
Can I view the watch in Ootmarsum?
Yes. You are welcome to view and try the watch in the Staudt boutique in Ootmarsum. Make an appointment and we will make sure the watch is ready for you.
Can I choose another strap?
In many cases, yes. A different strap can give a pre-owned Staudt its own character. Contact us and we will check which straps fit the watch.
Can I reserve an Approved Used watch?
That is possible by arrangement. Because each Approved Used watch is unique, we cannot hold a watch indefinitely. Contact us and we will gladly discuss the options.
Can I return an Approved Used watch?
Yes. If you buy an Approved Used watch online, you have a 14-day cooling-off period after receipt. The watch must be returned complete, undamaged and in the same condition.
